yikes, kinda

some bad news: i just got an email from one of the managers of the mahler society library, who was trying to get me some extra time in the library. well, apparently he just found out that the library is going to be closed from july 8th through august 10th for summer break...fabulous! he actually really did sound distressed, but, um...so am i!

he said he was going to ask the only other guy with a key if he has any research to do over the time i'm in vienna, and if so, i'll just meet up with him and go in when he does. i hope he does have work to do! at any rate, this kinda throws a wrench in the works...but nothing too bad, i hope. 

in the meantime, i'm going to be looking for other places in the vienna i could do work on mahler....
